Fylde Council has approved funding to build a disabled access ramp at Squires Gate railway station. The plan required the compulsory purchase of land to enable creating wheelchair-friendly access to the single platform station, which is only a short distance from the end of the tram line at Starr Gate.

It's about time. This is not a very disabled friendly area, so anything that helps is welcome.
